Governance

The Endowment - Purdue Investment Pool (PIP) is governed by the Investment Policy Statement (IPS), which is approved and amended by the Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) Board of Directors and endorsed by the Purdue Board of Trustees. Implementation is delegated to the Purdue Treasurer and the Investment Committee under oversight of the Finance-Audit Committee of the PRF Board of Directors.

The PRF Office of Investments (OOI) has discretion to allocate to liquid asset classes within the IPS approved tolerance bands but receives approval from the Investment Committee for each commitment to external investment managers (e.g., a private equity fund).

The Investment Committee is made up of professionals across Purdue University and PRF, chaired by the University Treasurer. The Investment Committee meets at least six times per year to discuss various topics. The PRF OOI also provides updates in every PRF Finance-Audit Committee and Board of Directors meetings.
