National Security and Public Health
The Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) was created in 1930 to support Purdue University’s missions of discovery, learning and engagement. PRF is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation governed by a 16-member board of directors. The board’s standing committees including an executive committee, a nominating committee, a compensation committee, and a finance/audit committee.

National Security Leadership, LLC (NSL), an Indiana nonprofit limited liability company and subsidiary of Purdue Research Foundation, was formed in 2017 to support national security and defense-related activity. NSL’s activities have recently been expanded to include matters of public health and safety.

The Military-Academic Center for Hypersonics (M.A.C.H.), a division of National Security Leadership, LLC (NSL), was established to manage and coordinate the activities of the University Hypersonics Consortium, a collaboration among 18 universities with strong academic and technical expertise in hypersonic-related fields. Consortium members: University of Colorado, University of Dayton Research Institute, Georgia Tech Research Corporation, University of Illinois, Indiana University, University of Maryland, University of Michigan, Michigan State University, University of Minnesota, North Carolina A&T, University of Notre Dame, Purdue University, Ohio State University, University of Tennessee Space Institute, University of Texas at Austin, University of Vermont, University of Virginia and Virginia Tech.
