Student Worker, Office of Special Events

START DATE: Fall Semester 2019

Responsibilities:

Event Prep:

  • Prepare nametags
  • Pack event suitcases
  • Load/unload equipment
  • Assist with logistical arrangements, vendor selections and venue/site locations
  • Occasionally assist with on-site event preparation

Office:

  • Distribute mail to events team members
  • Keep supply area organized
  • Make deliveries on campus
  • Collect and enter RSVPs into online system and maintain event attendee lists.
  • MS Excel report updates or revisions
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Work well under pressure
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office

Other:

Hours: 10-15 per week

Pay: $8.50 per hour
