POSITION SUMMARY:

The position requires expertise and knowledge in AGTECH products, user experience, and software development. The role requires an understanding of the entire life cycle of a product, including the ability to adapt it to the customer’s needs, support for the product, proper and indicated usage, and obtaining the most appropriate technological tools for its support.

An IT Business Analyst will have access to the company products and systems. This position requires high interaction with TECSOIL R&D and Products team. In addition, the candidate will need knowledge in technology, farm equipment, agronomy, and farming processes.

Strong problem solving, interpersonal, and communications skills required.

The IT Analyst will be trained to understand and acquire a strong knowledge of our technical products and systems (solutions). The main goal of delivery operation efficiency and agronomical solutions relying on technologies tools, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), telecommunications, data processing, data storage in the cloud, linear algorithms, and artificial intelligence (AI).

You will be required to understand and propose improvements in our systems to address and solve the challenges in major crops productions.

As an IT Analyst, you will participate in the requirement analysis, including the definition of high-level system requirements, extraction and refinement based on customers and strategic alliance’s needs, high-level design and technical support to the R&D and Product team.

LOCATION:

Mid-West region.

At TECSOIL, home office work will be acceptable. However, the Employee must be aware that the Company does not maintain any workers compensation insurance or other insurance on behalf of an employee for the work and activities performed at his/her home office. It is the Employee’s sole responsibility to obtain and keep in force such insurance as Employee determines appropriate.

This job may require domestic business trips.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create a detailed business analysis, outlining/describing problems, opportunities, and solutions for TECSOIL;

• Extract the operational, safety, security, and performance requirements. Refine these requirements to generate the specifications set for TECSOIL systems;

• Analysis to generate new requirements and improvements to the products developed by our Company;

• Design and implement software for TECSOIL systems;

• Integrate and validate new product designs;

• Prepare SW acceptance tests procedures and test plans;

• Perform factory acceptance tests;

• Provide support to presales and sales teams;

• Provide input and feedback to Senior Management in regard to all things related to agronomy and product development;

• Prepare and consolidate technical/operational documentation and manuals;

• Perform activities and deliverables according to the delivery schedule;

• Assist in the development of technology roadmaps to evolve the API estate in conjunction with internal and external solution providers;

• Domestic travel to visit customers to monitoring project progress reports and provide up-selling support for the sales team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and related experience

• Intermediate knowledge of the full software development life cycle

• Intermediate knowledge of API services in Java

• Intermediate knowledge of writing SQL data queries

• 3+ years’ experience or equivalent proficiency in application design and programming

• Cross-functional project experience with an emphasis on business and IT integration preferred.
