Senior Associate or Manager, Corporate Development/Strategic Project Management

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Colloborate with senior leadership on strategic planning & execution, including but not limited to evaluation of growth opportunities (e.g., capital investments, licensing), and other corporate initiatives
  • Collborate with clients to identify corporate opportunities / project needs and with cross-functional colleagues to develop workplans to address such needs
  • Assist in the authoring of proposals, including pricing / deal structure, for clients and/or partners
  • Provide input into client / partner contractual agreements
  • Lead project management meetings
  • Develop and maintain project timelines
  • Coordinate and manage client, potential client, partner, and visitor meetings and tours
  • Interact efficiently with clients & partners and meet client & partner needs and expectations
  • Maintain confidentiality of clients / partners
  • Organize, manage, coordinate, and track multiple projects
  • Coordinate and manage events involving PGC
  • Participate in Purdue University, School of Pharmacy, and Community events
  • Interact with clients and partners, including representatives of Purdue University and its affiliates
  • Follow all applicable State and Federal laws regarding the operation of a cGMP Facility
  • Train, plan, and assign work to employee(s)
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills & Requirements

  • Demonstrated superior computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in:  one-on-one settings; small groups; and more formal settings
  • Superior attention to details
  • Ability to use good judgment, diplomacy, maintain confidentiality, and exercise discretion on various operational matters and customer service
  • Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with clients, supervisor, senior business leaders, service providers, and business partners (e.g., Purdue University / Purdue Research Foundation staff)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle successfully multiple projects / engagements
  • Favorable security (DEA/FBI/criminal) check and negative controlled substance test
  • Regular attendance is a requirement of this position
  • Ability to travel (10-20%)

Education/Experience

  • B.S./B.A. in management, business, science, or pharmacy required
  • M.B.A / M.S. / Ph.D. preferred
  • Prior experience (at least 3 years) in a professional services role (e.g., management consulting, auditing) working and presenting directly with clients preferred
  • Prior experience (at least 3 years) with working with project management tools preferred
  • Prior experience (at least 3 years) with business / corporate development (e.g., drafting pitches, proposals, and/or term sheets) preferred
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical processes and terminology preferred
