Essential Functions

  • Provide high-level support to the Executive Directors and the staff in the Office of Industrial Partnerships (OIP).
  • Work with the Executive Directors to continue the build-out of the corporate engagement process and scoring systems.
  • In partnership with OIP leadership, assist with the preparation of QBR materials and other presentation materials as needed.
  • Assist with analysis of business goals and objectives.
  • In partnership with OIP staff, assist with building out our corporate research and strategy documents.
  • Assist with special projects, reporting and workflow related to the development of industrial partnerships.
  • Assist with Purdue Day of Giving corporate outreach program
  • Engage with internal and external partners using tact, diplomacy, and the highest level of professionalism.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current development procedures including the CRM and computer technology to enhance development process and maintain efficiency.
  • Deliver timely and accurate responses to the OIP staff, colleges and schools, faculty, associated offices such as SPS contracts, the Office of Technology Transfer, and the Purdue Research Foundation, companies, corporate and private foundation contacts, and others. 

Additional Responsibilities

Information Coordination

  • Interface with OIP databases and systems to develop and provide corporate reports that are required in our strategic and alliance partnership agreements.
  • Interface with OIP databases and systems to provide reports to OIP staff. 


  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (email and calendaring), and Teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone and office etiquette, planning, proofreading, drafting, and editing correspondence and reports.
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task, work under pressure, handle frequent interruptions and meet deadlines.
  • Capable to work independently, take initiative, identify problems, analyze information, and implement solutions.
  • Ability to compose professional and timely correspondences, financial reports, and excel spreadsheets.
  • Must handle confidential information with discretion and produce high quality work with attention to detail. 


  • HS diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in office organization and program/project management.
  • Experience with assisting customer relationships through written and verbal communication. 

The rate for this position is $15.00/hour.  This position will work 10-15 hours per week.
