Software Testing and Support Specialist

The Software Testing and Support Specialist is responsible for supporting, monitoring, maintaining, and testing business critical platforms including but not limited to the ecommerce platform, company intranet, and core banking platform. *Employees are expected to adhere to all rules and regulations applicable to this position including but not limited to all policies and procedures pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

  • Work with business critical platforms to become a subject matter expert on functionality
  • Provide prompt help desk support for business critical platforms
  • Research and resolve issues the credit union encounters and as needed, work with vendors and internal resources
  • Coordinate and perform maintenance and upgrades to new and existing platforms as well as supporting systems, including occasional non‐traditional hours when necessary
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for platforms and associated processes
  • Create test cases that ensure all business and technical requirements are covered
  • Develop manual and automated test scripts
  • Coordinate testing efforts with credit union resources as needed
  • Work with management to prioritize tasks and technical issues during all phases of software development
  • Display a professional attitude in dealing with supervisors, coworkers, members, and others inside and outside the credit union


Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in software support, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of web development stacks (e.g. ASP.NET), web application servers (e.g., IIS) and infrastructure components (e.g., Windows Server, MS SQL, MV, SOAP)
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles and release processes
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts
  • Ability to follow the core values of honesty, integrity, mutual respect, pride and ownership

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • This job operates in a clerical office setting. 
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
  • This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets
  • This position requires sitting, bending, stooping or standing as necessary
