AS FACILITIES MANAGER, YOU WILL...

  • Work closely with lab and greenhouse personnel, EH&S, and site manager to manage all facilities and equipment infrastructure according to operational and safety needs
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment.
  • Oversee routine maintenance to ensure all equipment runs smoothly
  • Make minor repairs to equipment and systems as necessary
  • Identify and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, etc. when necessary, including managing negotiations, quotes, and invoices
  • Implement a work request system in collaboration with the global operations team. Receive and process work requests and log any maintenance and repair work
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

YOU BRING....

  • At least 8+ years of facilities experience, preferably in an agriculture and/or biotech setting
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and/or HVAC systems
  • Highly self-motivated and accountable; act with a clear sense of ownership in areas of responsibility, and ensure that others do the same.
  • Project management experience, and strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic team setting. Open to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives, and feedback
  • Flexibility in a constantly evolving environment.Capacity to manage ambiguity; deal comfortably with change and able to decide and act without having the total picture
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems and generate ideas to improve facilities infrastructure and experience
  • Aptitude for developing people through coaching, feedback, and exposure to new experiences to meet both performance goals and personal development goals
  • Ability to plan and align people and resources for successful execution
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift more than fifty pounds
  • Curiosity, a desire to continuously learn and have a meaningful impact
