Student Clerical Worker-Foundry

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Operations Manager with daily clerical tasks.
  • Assist with event planning and promotion for Purdue Foundry events.
  • Create and organize files.
  • Maintain Purdue Foundry’s databases (i.e. contact in Mail Chimp & Salesforce)
  • Process business office documents and reimbursements.
  • Provide front office backup as needed.
  • Maintain and organize storage room.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Description of Experience:

  • Prefer current sophomore and above in Hospitality and Tourism Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office.
  • Must be dependable and able to use discretion regularly in disseminating highly sensitive information about University stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly.
  • Hardworking and dedicated.
  • Team oriented.

Other:

  • Hourly Rate: $8
  • Hours per week: 8-10
  • Regular and reliable attendance are requirements of this position.
