Essential Functions

  • Perform recruiting functions for Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) and Purdue for Life Foundation (PFL).
  • Post open positions to websites and external sources and lead interview teams.
  • Provide hiring recommendations.



  • Participate in candidate interview process and lead interview teams.
  • Provide interview scheduling assistance as needed.
  • Prepare weekly recruiting report.
  • Screen, interview and assist in selection of candidates for PRF/PFL positions.
  • Communicate with supervisors as needed regarding the status of a search.
  • Monitor HR content on a weekly basis for PRF and PFL websites; make additions, updates, and/or deletions as needed.
  • Maintain recruiting summary data in Excel for closed searches.
  • Close position file at end of search.
  • Create and maintain instructional guides for posting positions in Cascade, DevCareers, and external websites.


  • Track area expenses (including advertising) in Excel.
  • Lead and assist in execution of ad hoc HR projects as assigned.
  • Post Research Park job openings to PRF Careers website and update postings regularly.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to keep information confidential required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Initiative to solve problems and handle multiple and varied tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Regular and reliable attendance are requirements of this position.


  • Bachelor's degree required. 
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Experience in HR or an HR-related field preferred.
