The Information Technology Support Technician is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, software, and computer peripherals for BASi staff. Maintains hardware and software inventories and supports others in the IT department to complete projects.  

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Provide customer service oriented end-user technical support to computer users in all BASi locations
  • Responsible for set up, maintenance, and decommissioning of workstations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues using available diagnostic and error recovery techniques
  • Identify, research and resolve technical problems
  • Provide general technical expertise and individualized training in the use of personal computers to BASi staff
  • Build and maintain inventories of hardware and software with direction from management
  • Occasional travel to other BASi locations may be required
  • Subject to 24-hour recall to perform emergency response duties. May include weekends and nights to support actual emergency operations
  • Maintain confidential information
  • Support and participate in other company initiatives as directed by management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years or more of customer service related work experience.
  • Associate degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Technology or related field.
  • Equivalent combination of related education and/or required work experience will be considered.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
  • Marked attention to detail
