Duties / Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, drafting, negotiation, distribution and execution of contracts and agreements;
  • Work closely with a Contracts Attorney, on document tracking and follow up with investigative sites and the Cook Group companies to facilitate the orderly and timely negotiation and execution of pending projects;
  • Provide electronic technology support as needed (e.g., formatting and revising electronic versions of documents, scanning and uploading contracts to the Global Technical Warehouse, etc.);
  • Provide all levels of administrative support to the Contracts Attorney or Manager Contracts;
  • Present a professional and positive demeanor in all communications, a task that necessitates perceptive and respectful awareness of the relationships that have been developed over time;
  • Take an active role in the maintenance of clinical study contract documentation (e.g., contract status table, quarterly statistics, etc.) and filing systems (GTW, databases, filing cabinets, etc.); and
  • Work closely with both process and project management to meet their needs and expectations and at all times present an open and helpful attitude and the Contracts Team’s commitment to meeting company objectives.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Minimum of Associate Degree or post-secondary certification in Paralegal Studies required;
  • Excellent organizational skills and prioritizing skills;
  • Ability to efficiently support multiple persons and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
  • Extreme attention to detail;
  • Teachable, positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn;
  • Appropriate service mentality and positive attitude;
  • Ability to present a professional and personable demeanor in interactions;
  • Conscientious person with good work ethic and proven personal discipline;
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills, including good grammar and spelling;
  • Experience in basic office equipment (e.g., fax, copier, computer, scanners, printers, phone systems, etc.); and
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and Adobe skills.

This includes new product discovery, prototype development, nonclinical testing, clinical study management and data analysis, education for the medical community, and preparation of regulatory submissions.
