Duties / Responsibilities

Allegro Dynamics is looking for a web developer capable of bringing web projects from initial design to completion. Most projects will be database-backed, ajax-intensive web applications providing a rich user experience. Implementing new designs and also modifying large, existing applications will be an essential function of this job. The successful candidate must be a team player that adapts to changing requirements and priorities with enthusiasm and loves building software that solves real-world problems.

Requirements / Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years experience building database-driven web apps
  • Thorough HTML, CSS, & Javascript knowledge
  • Mastery of a scripting language (Python preferred, Ruby/PHP acceptable)
  • Strong OOP design skills
  • Unix/Linux server administration
  • Regular office attendance

Preferred:

  • Interface design (and associated technologies)
  • Familiarity with mobile development
  • Flash experience
  • Framework experience (Rails, Zend, Django, etc)
  • Background in test-driven development
  • Enjoy learning new API's and languages as required

Allegro Dynamics is a software design company that builds highly responsive web and mobile applications, located in the Purdue Research Park. The company has been growing steadily since start-up about a year ago, and we still have startup energy.
