Duties / Responsibilities

This position is responsible for working closely with the Manager of the Imaging Management Team to provide analysis and training of ultrasound and project-specific imaging in order to support the imaging needs of global clinical studies on behalf of the Cook organization.

  • Evaluate clinical study imaging (e.g., ultrasound, radiographs, CT scans, etc.) for compliance with study imaging protocols;
  • Support the development and implementation of study-specific imaging protocols;
  • Work closely with project teams regarding the status of clinical studies; support the clinical process as needed to meet study objectives;
  • Travel 25-40% of the time in order to collaborate with physicians and radiology staff at investigative sites and core laboratories;
  • Work closely with both process and project management to determine priorities and ensure the timely initiation of clinical studies in order to meet Cook Group objectives;
  • Establish trusted relationships with the study sponsor, physicians, their research staff and core laboratories through communication and a commitment to exceeding expectations; and
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis for clinical study imaging as it relates to imaging core lab services.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology;
  • ARRT and ARDMS registrations with current licensure in the State of Indiana required;
  • Minimum of five years hospital based practice with solid working knowledge of radiology operations;
  • Cross functionality in multiple imaging modalities required;
  • Proficient in sonographic physics and instrumentation as well as abdominal and peripheral vascular duplex imaging;
  • Knowledge and clinical skills necessary to perform gray scale and color flow Doppler;
  • Knowledge and clinical skills necessary to perform adult diagnostic radiology exams;
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately assess radiologic images and interpret data;
  • Conscientious, influential person with an outstanding work ethic and strong personal discipline;
  • Willingness and capability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities;
  • Excellent organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability and desire to work in a collegial team atmosphere; including communicating and working constructively with colleagues; and
  • Willing and able to travel 25-40% of the time.
